Bueno Writes An Open Letter To Grover Norquist

Dearest Grover,

First, I gotta say, it’s really hard to keep a straight face with a name like Grover. Seriously dude, I can’t shake the image of Sesame Street. And, seriously… thanks for fucking-up the image of such a lovable little goof like Super Grover. Asshole.
What is your deal dude? Are you that hell-bent on making so much money as a lobbyist that you would imperil this country along the way? Did you place some secret wager with Randolph and Mortimer (the douchiest Dukes from Trading Places, for you youngsters) to see how far you could screw the Winthrops and middle class conservatives of the country?? Are you suffering from Paranoid Schizophrenia, and all of the hallucinogenic thoughts that persist?? If the latter is true…. there is help for that; and it will soon be affordable. Or, as I suspect, are you really secretly working for a terrorist organization that seeks to undermine the progress of America?

We, the Sheeple, are on to you, Eric Theodore Cartman. Even my long delusional GOP supporting friends are starting to see (or, even know who the fuck you are) what a turd you are. You are a TRAITOR. That’s what you are.

You sold out your country for corporate America.

If I ever cross paths with you…. I will do my best to kill you with kindness. Have I mentioned, my new Samurai sword’s name is Kindness (thank you Master Hitorri Hanzo).

While my family, and most of my peers do not follow your schemes, and those of your ilk… I do. You are a Douche Bag of the highest degree. If I had Knighting status or the pedigree therein, I would happily crown you, Sir Grover The “Pusilanimous”. – which means weak; lacking courage; cowardly; can’t get laid and thus projects his shortcomings on the world.

Wake up “conservative-no-tax-left hating-friends”. See for yourself what those of the far right would try to sell you.

An Open Letter From GOP Stopper Denyce Buffington Mugalian

President Barack Obama, ForwardAn Open Letter to:
• Melinda N Progress
• Duchess St. Rollins
• Chest Strongwell
• I love it when I wake up in the morning and Barack Obama is President
• Sick of the Slant – A Fair Look at the News of the Day
• The Politburo of Teabilly Mockery
• Being Liberal
• The Everlasting GOP Stoppers

Not sure what your plans are concerning your Facebook pages now that the election is over, but I wanted to let all of you know that you did make a difference.

All of you in your various ways inspired me this election.  Don’t get me wrong, I have supported Obama both financially and politically and had every intention of voting for him.  But beyond a few close friends and family, I never engaged in political discussions.

That is until I found all of you.  You made a difference in my internet life.  You gave me a sense of community outside of my circle of Facebook friends and my real life folks. You all took on the good fight and allowed me to participate.  You kept me informed on relevant news on Facebook and in the real world since I rarely have time to watch the news.

You laid the smack down on candy ass teabaggers talking crap.  You opened me up to a whole new world of craziness that I was not aware was on Facebook because I would have never seen any of these people since I never would have search them out.

More importantly, you ignited in me a passion to lay some smack down myself.  While I was not as prolific as all of you, I felt I did my part to the extent that I am proud to say I was banned from many Facebook pages and blogs on the internet, including Mr. Excellence in Broadcasting himself.

You all in your separate ways made this a very informative and fun election and I thank you.  I hope you all maintain your pages as they were a source of information and amusement.  I thank you.  God Bless President Obama and real Americans like all of you.  If any of you are in contact with the Duke and The Bishop, please pass this message on to them as I can no longer find them on Facebook.

Rachel Maddow Making Post-Election Sense.

Below are some excerpts from this kickass intro from Rachel Maddow’s show last night:

That happened! That really happened. We are not going to have a Supreme Court that overturns Roe v. Wade, there will be no more Antonin Scalias and Samuel Alitos added to this court. We’re not going to repeal health reform, no one is going to kill Medicare, and make old people fight it out for health care on the open market.

We’re not going to give a 20% tax cut to millionaires and billionaires, and expect programs like food stamps and kids’ health insurance to cover the cost of that tax cut. We’re not gonna make you clear it with your boss if you wanna get birth control under the insurance plan you’re on.

We are not going to redefine rape. We’re not going to amend the US Constitution to prevent gay people from getting married. We’re not eliminating the department of energy, or education, or housing at the federal level.

We’re not gonna spent $2 trillion on the military that the military does not want. We won’t be scaling back on student loans because the country’s new plan is that you should “borrow money from your parents.”

We’re not vetoing the DREAM Act, we are not self-deporting. We are not letting Detroit go bankrupt. We are not starting a trade war with China on Inauguration Day in January.

We are not going to have, as a president, a man who once led a mob of friends to run down scared gay kid to hold him down and forcibly cut his hair off with a pair of scissors while that kid cried and screamed for help – and there was no apology, not ever.

We’re not going to have a Secretary of State John Bolton. We’re not bringing Dick Cheney back. We are not going to have a foreign policy shop stocked with the architects of the Iraq war.

We are not going to do it. We had the choice to do that if we wanted to, as a country.

And we said no. Last night. Loudly.

Ohio really did go for President Obama last night, and he really did win. And he really was born in Hawaii. And he really is, legitimately, President of the United States – again.

And the Bureau of Labor Statistics did not make up a fake unemployment rate last month. And the Congressional Research Center really can find no evidence that cutting taxes on rich people grows the economy.

And the polls were not skewed to oversample democrats. And Nate Silver was not making up fake poll numbers about the election to try to make conservatives feel bad; Nate Silver was doing MATH.

And climate change is real. And rape really does cause pregnancy, sometimes. And evolution is a thing. And Benghazi was an attack on us, it was not a scandal BY us.

And nobody’s taking away anyone’s guns. And taxes have not gone up. And the deficit is dropping, actually. And Saddam Hussein did not have weapons of mass destruction.

And the moon landing? Was real. And FEMA is not building concentration camps. And UN election observers are not taking over Texas. And moderate reforms on the regulations on the financial industries and the insurance industries in this country are not the same as communism.

Listen. Last night was a good night for liberals and for democrats, for very obvious reasons. But it was also possibly a good night for this country as a whole.

But if the conservative movement and the conservative media and the Republican Party is stuck in a vacuum-sealed, door-locked, spin cycle of telling what makes them feel good, and denying the actual lived truth of the world, we are all deprived, as a nation, of the very debate between competing, feasible ideas about real problems.

Last night the republicans got shellacked, and they had NO idea it was coming. And we saw them in real time – in real, humiliating time – not believe it even as it was happening to them. And unless they want to secede, they will need to pop the fictional bubble they have been so happily living inside, if they do not want to get shellacked again.

And that will be a painful process for them, but it will be good for the whole country, left, right, and center. You guys, we’re counting on you. Wake up. There are real problems in the world. There are real, knowable facts in the world. Let’s accept those and talk about how we might approach our problems differently. Let’s move on from there. If the Republican Party and the conservative movement and conservative media are forced to do that by the humiliation they were dealt last night, we will all be better off as a nation. And in that spirit, congratulations.

Casting Fellow Americans as “The Enemy” to Justify Vote Theft, by William Rivers Pitt at Truth-out.org

Election day is only half over, and my desk is already flooded with stories and first-hand reports of voting irregularities. Voters in Pennsylvania are being harangued by GOP “poll watchers” to show ID, even though they absolutely do not have to, and a judge finally had to intervene. An election worker in Oregon was caught altering ballots so that they would show a straight-Republican ticket. Voters in South Florida are enduring historically long lines to vote. A lawsuit has been filed in Ohio to protest the “experimental” patch added to software in voting machines in dozens of counties.

In instance after instance, these actions are being taken by Republicans, from Secretaries of State and state legislatures at the top all the way down to “True the Vote” Tea Party footsoldiers looking to frighten people away from their polling places.

A part of me looks at all this and wonders, “What kind of fascist scumbag summons the gall to steal the right to vote from a fellow American?” But then it hits me: the root cause of all this is the fact that the GOP has, for many years now and especially since 9/11, pushed the idea that people who don’t agree with them are un-American and dangerous. For those who have swallowed this line of crap, the idea of actually stealing someone else’s right to vote becomes understandable. It’s a matter of National Security! These terrible un-Christian terrorists have to be stopped!

It’s fairly self-evident that if you have to cheat and scare people to win, your ideas lack merit…but the larger issue here is the kind of America that is being created. The Republican Party has made it a matter of survival to convince people, who are in every other way probably very good and decent types, that half the country, indeed their own neighbors, are swarming with The Enemy, and that Enemy does not deserve basic American rights like voting.

One hell of a whirlwind will be reaped if matters continue like this.

Robert Santa Maria makes his final “pitch” for our President, Barack Obama.

The President of the United States, Barack Obama, is giving his final speech as a candidate.  Win or lose, this is his last time on a podium to make a pitch.  He was introduced by The First Lady, Michelle Obama, who gave some of her memories for the past four years.

The POTUS reminding the crowd of the struggle they all went through to get him into the office.  He remembers the shoe-string budget, the tireless volunteers and even the mural that someone painted to life the volunteers spirits.  He remembered the home made signs, the bake sales and the laughter when everyone needed a lift.

As I said, he’s making his final pitch.

In sense, though, these four years have been his biggest pitch.

This man, with spirit, with determination and with true patriotism, pushed against the greatest opposition any sitting President had ever faced.  Caustic, even racist criticism.  Political dirty tricks.  The hatred never masked for a moment.  Yet, despite this, he managed to sign a bill for equal pay for women.  He was able to create an Affordable Care Act. He ended the war in Iraq, diminished the power of Al-Queda and killed Osama Bin Laden.  And, now, on the eve of his re-election, the sanctions he put in place have forced Iran to abandon its nuclear program.

Even after all this opposition, he states in his speech that he will continue to fight.

I know there are those who hate him because of racial factors.  These people will never be convinced of his successes.

We, who have eyes, and look past the factors they have perpetrated to satisfy their own prejudices, know better.

Tomorrow, those who vote (I have already voted) will be going into the booths to change the world.  No election has had the importance this one has. Every Presidential election is, in essence, a change of the status quo, or the perpetuation of same.

This election will determine where America will be in the future.

He is not perfect.  I would not vote for him were he perfect.  Perfection is impossible to maintain, and he would fail in the attempt.

The striving for perfection, however, is a noble endeavor.  He is willing to continue to take the abuse, the criticism and the pure blind hate to strive for that perfect plain.

I, for one, plan to do more than just support him with my vote.  This is our fight, our future, our country.

We must, after the balloons are deflated and the trumpets fade, live here together.  We must not only move Forward, but Charge Ahead!

President Barack Obama, Forward
